HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Thanksgiving was really different this year. Instead of lots of people and crazy chaos, it was small and wonderful. Don't get me wrong, I love my family and love when we all get together. But it was really since to just have a quiet meal with family i never get to see. We spent most of the day at my parent's house.

My cute little boy playing the piano with his elbow. Isn't it funny how everything is cute when it's your first kid?! It was actually only cute for a few seconds, but then it was just too loud, but I'm trying not to be an old lady and let him have some fun!

Just a cute face and silly boy!

JJ HAD to give his daddy a kiss mid-song. He's so cute!

I love him, what more can I say?!

My cute mom making Thanksgiving dinner!

And here's my cute Daddy cutting the turkey! I don't know why but I took like 10 of this same shot. The image of him cutting the turkey was making me feel so sentimental for some reason. I hate the thought of my parents not living forever!

My hilarious uncle Merlin, whom JJ LOVE LOVE LOVED! This is a video of JJ after Aunt Tootsie and Merlin left to go home.

My beautiful Aunt Tootsie! She is so fun! It was so fun seeing her and Merlin! We don't get to see them enough!

It was the smallest Thanksgiving ever, but it was wonderful and peaceful!

Then we went to the Albrecht's and caught the end of their party.

JJ was tired and crabby by that time of night and would only talk to Jon. He loves Jon!

Electronic junkies. :)

Cute Gabby and Uncle Josh!

These are "the babies"...I love that they're just running around getting into trouble. Well, I love it just long enough to get a picture. :)

Josh's dad holding his baby!

Kathy and Gunner telling secrets.

Thankfully my mother in law saved me some of her side dishes that ever since I joined the Albrecht family, it's not Thanksgiving without them! :)

"Mommy, what should we make?"

The last couple of days, every time i turn on the oven, or get out the crock pot JJ's run into the kitchen and said," Mommy, what should we make?" So today he pulled the stool over to the KitchenAid and said,"Mommy, what should we make?" I couldn't resist! So we made cookies! :) I would measure everything and then let him poor it into the bowl. He took his job very seriously!

He was in heaven!

Pouring in the chocolate chips

Very pleased with himself!

The plan was to not put very many chocolate chips in because the chocolate chips are Josh's least favorite part, but JJ kept saying, "More??" and who could deny that face?

Eating chocolate chips

I told him to hold the pan so i could take his picture, by the time I had my camera, I turned around and this is what he was doing! So funny!!

We made the yummiest cookies together! We had such a fun time and had a huge mess to clean up! :) I love my little helper! Who wants a cookie, we have plenty?!! :)

Christmas before Thanksgiving!

Christmas is coming to our house early this year. Last week Josh asked JJ if he knew what Christmas was. He said, "No." Josh said," It's Jesus' birthday." JJ said," And his father? And Jesus in heaven with Hurley?" Ever since then he's talked about Christmas all day, everyday! He wants Christmas music if the radio is ever on (and if it's not he'll ask to turn it on). I don't know how but he can tell if it's Christmas music or not. He's also asked every day if we can have a Christmas tree. He's delighted that we have a tree in our family room (which he calls "Family Tree") AND his very own tree in his room (which he calls "JJ's Tree")! It's so cute! He worked very hard decorating both trees today! He took it very seriously! He's really in the Christmas spirit and I have no idea why! But it's adorable! :)

Helping daddy put the tree together...we are "fake tree" people. I love the smell of real ones, but our fake one is so much easier!

Decorating the house

Pure joy watching his dad turning the Christmas tree lights on!

He's pretty confused about the purpose of the stockings! He thinks they're just big socks!

Decorating the tree

Look as his cute little tongue! He always sticks it out when he's concentrating! I LOVE IT!!

Josh took this one with his phone. JJ saw this snow man box in our basement a long time ago. Then today, all of a sudden he yelled,"SNOWMAN! Snowman downstairs " so Josh took him downstairs and he sprinted over to where I was storing it! First of all I can't believe he remembered ever even seeing it! Secondly, it's amazing he even knows that the snowman box should be upstairs now that our Christmas stuff is out. He never ceases to amaze me!
